Well HELLO THERE!
It has been a hot friggin minute since I have blogged! I have to say I do miss it. It’s always such a rewarding experience to be able to finish off an amazing session or wedding with creating this whole other element to it. A story and music and pictures. I love all that shit. I used to think no one at all would read these things, but having some say that recently they have been missing them reminded me that I needed to get back on it. Even if it’s just 5 of you out there reading this then that’s enough reason to do it. Once I got my new website up I knew I had to get back into it.
This was one of my last weddings of 2017 and one for a very, very dear friend of mine. If I’m being really honest, I look up to only a few of relationships in my life including my parents. There just something about a certain few of them that make my little heart happy. Katie and Tommy are one of them. This wedding was a pure celebration of love. This is what 10 years, distance, homes, a dog, career changes, communication and trust look like. A relationship that took time and years and lots of love to foster into a marriage. The way it should be done in my personal opinion. For me, it’s awesome to know that I am photographing real life love stories. Just gets me goin. Thank god basically ALL of my couples are just amazing, in love, incredible human beings. Makes my job a whole lot easier and more rewarding. Yay!
This day I got to photograph alongside two other amazing photographers. To be able to see the photos from different perspectives of the same day is so cool! It was great to shoot alongside you both Jesse and Rachel!
The venue: Alderbrook Resort in Union Washington.
