Autum & Jason’s backyard garden wedding.
The most magical, felt like I was walking around in Alice’s Wonderland, wedding I have ever been apart of. I walked away from this day saying to myself, “There might never be another wedding like that ever in my lifetime.”
I was sad for a second, then thought, well that’s just fine, because it was so special and it will be a day I will never forget. I love weddings like this. One of a kind, something truly magical, feel like I’m in a movie shooting the most beautiful little home tucked away in little America. Their day took place at Autum’s childhood home she grew up in in Bellingham WA. The property was huge and had more amenities than an actual wedding venue- I FIRGGIN SWEAR! There was an adorable bathroom station that had cabinets covering the stalls and just off to the left was a stand alone sink, like come on.. All the kids of the family have gotten married at this stunning property.
The home was next two a couple old chicken barns and between those were four separate spaces for cocktail hour, ceremony, dancing and reception. (Again, more amenities than a real venue.) Behind all of that was the giant, beautiful garden. A garden Autum’s mother has been working on for over 20 years. It felt like wonderland, equipped with an actual life size chess board and a trail that guided you through the whole thing. It was pure effin magic. Her mother is an artist and truly made that property something special.
What was more amazing were the details themselves. Autum’s beautiful floral dress, the porcelain flower girls at every table, the donut cabinet and al the unique dinner plates with flowers on them. A year before their wedding they hunted down over 100 unique, floral plates from thrift stores. This wedding was a labor full of love and a whole lot of creation and I was just so flipping honored to of been able to of captured it.
