Witness the special day of Kaitlyn and Pat’s COVID-friendly wedding from Bainbridge island wedding photographer
A little COVID friendly wedding on the islands. Although Kaitlyn and Pat’s wedding was very different from what they already initially had planned/hoped for, it was one special day and a wedding I’ll always remember as a Bainbridge Island wedding photographer. Come along the journey of K and P’s romantic and most intimate little covid safe wedding <3
All introverts should also consider small weddings, P.S. 😉
I really have so much respect for them still having their very safe, Covid friendly wedding, because they wanted to stick to their date and did not want to wait. Yes, they did have to grieve their initial wedding that was more than 80% booked, planned and ready to go. But this alternate, unexpected wedding day will remain a day in infamy for a wedding and how special and romantic is that?!
Did I just use Covid and romance in the same paragraph?
Details get their true moment to shine at this little wedding!
If you’ve been around for a while, you’ll know that this Bainbridge Island wedding photographer loves all the time I can possibly get in the world with the detail photos! When you’re wedding has only 13 guests and more than enough time in between every single event throughout the day. I was easily off for close to an hour with Kaitlyn and Pat’s details and it was the absolute best! Having all segments of the day have a good amount of time to shine and be photographed well can help GREATLY contribute to capturing amazing photos from start to finish on your wedding day!
After a long moment with the deets and myself, we then had K and P’s first look and wandered into the forest for their couples photos! As a Bainbridge Island wedding photographer, There are just a few great local spots to photograph at on this small island. This little trail is a perfect place for some privacy and and a lil forest to yourself for photos! So far this whole day has been at a beautifully easy pace and Kaitlyn and Pat are truly able to soak up every moment of their wedding day!
Bainbridge Island Wedding Photographers dreams
Something you may be able to count on while visiting the puget sound islands, is sneaking a sweet little glimpse of the Seattle skyline and or the glorious Mt. Rainier herself. I was totally unaware that there was this little surprise at this location on the water and was sure delighted and told them to whip out the heart shaped sunglasses!
An intimate little ceremony at the cutest Air Bnb with a lovely view of the lake, 13 of their closest family members and friends. A memorable day for sure. When there is overall less at weddings, less guests, less activities, less vendors- it feel like you can be more present with yourself, and all your guests. After K and P’s short but sweet ceremony, they instantly we’re able to enjoy the cocktail hour with their guest because the Bainbridge island wedding photographer and them tackled all those photos beforehand, ensuring them to be more present with their loved ones.
All About Your Guests
The difference between 15 guest and 115 guests allows you more time to be present throughout your day and make stronger connections with each of your guests. Of course 15-1150 is a big jump. Even a small wedding of 50 allows you SO much more to experience and feel throughout your day. Big wedding are fun and also have their place too. But I feel like people sleep on smaller weddings, thinking they are not as important or big for their expectations, when they really are a gem and a delight to have. As a Bainbridge Island wedding photographer, a more intimate setting like this for an island wedding is juts chefs kiss!
All these small moments throughout Kaitlyn and Pat’s day we’re so insanely special and I love the thought even more, that the two of them were also able to witness and be present for so many of those moments throughout their wedding day. I love them both so much for taking the chance to move forward with an entirely new wedding and celebrated when they wanted to and were stood along side their most loved and cherished people in their lives.
