Where to begin. I’m not quite sure. This was hands down, the BEST wedding venue I have ever shot at. Vashon Field and Pond. If I could shoot more weddings here I think I would go to bed every night the happiest photographer in the world.
It was like stepping into another beautiful, picturesque world. There was this huge, unbelievable mansion that sat on the top of this hill with a giant pond that was in my opinion a small lake. A huge beautiful garden out front with a area full of knit hammocks. There was a barn in behind that mansion that Shawn and his boys got ready in. Caitlin and her girls and family all in another house just past these beautiful, tall Pacific Madrone tress lining the edge of the land. The property was huge and simply magical.
Their day was just perfect. They all wore sunglasses for their bridal party shots. The weather was sunny, but just perfect. The food and drinks we SO DAMN GOOD. Mt. Rainier was visible the entire evening and she only got better looking as the night progressed. This is also where I learned from a wedding guest that Mt. Rainier is a ‘she’, so to whoever you are, ahhh thank you.
