One morning I woke around 4:30am to get ready to head north to Anacortes to meet Krissa for her session. With some tired eyes, coffee in hand, my bags packed and camera batteries charged and ready, I made my journey up north. (Only really a hour and a half drive, but when it’s 5am things tend to feel longer) I spent that drive excited in anticipation for what was going to come.
I had never been to this location before but Krissa had spent a lot of time there. A lot of memories and stories were held there for her which is why she wanted to be photographed there. When I arrived and we walked around I felt like my whole body was shaking. I was beyond excited at all the beauty I was seeing around me and couldn’t wait to pull my camera out.
We galavanted all over this beautiful area and quite honestly I was freaking out the entire time. “This is fucking ridiculous!” I may have said over and over. I had felt lucky that Krissa found me and hired me and that I had the honor to work with such a badass, naturally beautiful babe who had shown me and new and beautiful part of this gorgeous state.
It sessions like this that I live for. It’s what I am basing my immediate future on and what I want to be doing EVERYDAY. This is precisely why I am planning on buying a van later this year and living and traveling out of it. I want to be shown and find, all these new and beautiful places to me and have the opportunity to capture them in their full majesty and also to capture them accompanied with a beautiful human.
These days where I was up at some ungodly hour to travel and photograph are what I live for. I love it so much that I’m altering my entire life to always be chasing this high.
I cannot wait to explore this beautiful country and meet and photograph all of you <3
