Boudoir just for young adults? No. Boudoir AT ANY AGE!
Way back when I met this fiery, loving and kind woman a small little BBQ at her home where I took some birthday photos for Karens sister in-law! Years after that, we see each other again at her son and daughter in-law’s wedding! Myself of course, the photographer. Then this queen reaches out to me for her very own boudoir session! I MEANM COME ON. YES!! Her niece and my good friend Andrea showed up, laughed, cheered on Karen and had some champs, obvi. I don’t think I have ever had so much fun. I remember the second she entered the studio and set her stuff down, she grabbed my hands and just screamed! My kind of boudoir gal.
She then proceeded to absolutely knock my socks off and her niece’s socks off her entire session! It kicked any idea out of my head that she would be a little shy, or need at least a couple minutes to warm up at first… Nope. Full nose dive in and I love and appreciated her so much for it! Not only did she just bring it, but she felt confident enough to step out of her shell. Plus, her outfits are absolutely sensational! She went risky for her own taste on some and I’m glad she did!
I LOVE THIS JOB OF MINE. Thank you to all the bold, authentic individuals that I get to work with. When those come in with zero inhibitions and just let this experience ride and take them on their own little journey, it makes my heart so proud. It’s hard work to arrive to even saying YES to boudoir. So I give all the kuddos to all the babes that come through with extra love and respect for their body.
